National Money Show Phoenix Convention Center, Phoenix
Exhibits include a $1 million penny and a $3 million nickel, misprinted “funny money,” plus an exhibit of historic, and centuries-old medals honoring George Washington. Sponsored by the nonprofit American Numismatic Association, hundreds of dealers will be buying and selling rare coins, paper money, gold, and silver. Many of the experts will provide complimentary, informal evaluations of the public’s old coins and paper money. Free educational seminars and a children’s treasure trivia game round out the event. Registration fee: Thursday and Friday, March 2 and 3, $10 for adults. Children 12 and under as well as active duty and retired military personnel with valid ID with up to three guests are admitted free. Entry is free for everyone on Saturday, March 4.
