OVERVIEW
Except for 1099-NEC, which must be submitted by January 31, the IRS requires most 1099s to be mailed by February 28 and filed electronically by March 31, 2023

This webinar will cover Form 1099-NEC for independent contractors, and Form 1099-MISC for reporting payments such as rent. We will also cover Form 1099-K and how to deal with payments made via apps such as PayPal and Venmo. IRS penalties for failure to file correct 1099s continue to rise, and the IRS is cracking down on 1099-related compliance such as backup withholding.

WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND?
The IRS Form 1099 is available in 17 different versions and is used to report information about various payments you make. For example, on Form 1099-NEC, you must declare the money you pay to contractors. Many of these forms have a January 31 deadline, so you must act quickly to issue them on time.

Don’t put yourself at risk of noncompliance; instead, learn everything you need to know about Form 1099. Learn the best ways to manage 1099 form compliance. Improve your decision-making skills by differentiating between an employee and a true subcontractor to whom you issue a 1099 form.

Attend the webinar to gain better knowledge of 1099s and learn, how to stay in compliance and avoid penalties.
